Phases

    • Opportunity...
      • For the congregation to meet members of the IMT+AE
      • To hear the Westminster story
      • To recognize the emotion, the disappointment, the upset
      • To understand barriers as well as pathways toward reconciliation
      • To express hope and wishes for Westminster

  • HOPE
    • Opportunity...
      • To acknowledge and appreciate one another's perspective
      • To be curious about the relationship between feelings and beliefs
      • To be open to initial steps on the path to reconciliation
      • To express hope and possibilities for Westminster
  • PLAN
    • Opportunity...
      • To define a broad vision for Westminster
      • To seek all possibilities that could realize this vision
      • To narrow the possibilities to a single coherent approach that has congregational support
      • To articulate a plan that sets this vision in motion
  • BUILD
    • The build phase is focused on creating a strong foundation for the future of the church
    • The following things must be achieved during the Build phase...
      • Strong and aligned culture around core values and the future vision
      • Strong organizational structure with well defined roles and responsibilities
      • Strong and effective communication
        • With the congregation
        • Between leadership, staff and committees
      • Stable congregation with financial means to meet...

        • Liabilities that have accumulated during the period of transition
        • Ability to initiate a search for and sustain a new minister
At the end of each phase the IMT+AE, working with others in the church will conduct a review to formally assess the outcomes of the phase and readiness to engage in the work going forward.
