Through its “A Place to Call Home” initiative, KAIROS Calgary supports HomeSpace’s Bankview Apartments.

Bankview is an affordable housing apartment building with 26 units that houses a blend of single adults, couples and families who were previously homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Donations support efforts to pay down the mortgage on the building. With this funding, HomeSpace will provide sustained, long-term affordable rent for residents at Bankview that were at risk of homelessness. Residents are supported by CUPS Calgary’s Community Development team and volunteer assistance from KAIROS allows the residents of Bankview to live their lives with dignity and security.

To raise funds, several Presbyterian churches are joining in on a walk on April 27 at 3:30 pm. Walkers will meet at the St. Giles parking lot, and enjoy a 2 km or 5 km walk through Confederation Park. Following the walk, join for refreshment at St. Giles. To join us as walkers or to support the Westminster Wayfarers, visit the Homespace website at https://www.homespace.org/walk-for-bankview.
