June is Indigenous History Month. As part of our continuance in learning about the history of the relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, two evenings will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Westminster, along with a ZOOM option. June 21st will serve as an overview of the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, through resources provided by the Presbyterian Church in Canada. This also is a day of prayer to honor National Indigenous Peoples Day.
These evenings are hosted by the Mission and Outreach Ministry of Westminster and it is our hope to continue our journey towards building relationships with Indigenous people that reflect the principles in the Calls to Action: mutual recognition, mutual respect and shared responsibilities.
