This event has already occurred
Sunday will be the third Sunday of Advent, traditionally the Sunday of Joy. In the Advent candle lighting, you may have noticed that most of the candles are purple, but the one for this Sunday, the candle of joy is pink, to celebrate the brightness of Advent.
So come to hear more of the story, of Elizabeth, who bore a son, and Zechariah, who had been mute since learning that he would finally become a father, but begins to speak again after John's birth. While the greater part of this story is yet to be told, we'll explore the amazement of the people when this happened -- and keep ourselves open to joy and amazement too.
