As we enter into our next chapter in the life and work of Westminster Presbyterian Church, we are thankful to all those who are part of our journey. We continue to be a community that is committed “to live by faith, to be known by love, and to be a voice of hope” through God's leading and can only do so with the financial support of our community. The funds received will be used for the general operating expenses of the congregation unless identified for other purposes. Examples of our general expenses are: team expenses (ie: children’s programs, family and adult programs, fellowship, mission, and internal and community outreach); salaries for all employees; utility and infrastructure expenses; and the day-to-day running of the church.
There are several ways to give:
Offering Plates on Sunday Morning – two offering plates are located at the back of the sanctuary on Sunday mornings for the collection of cash or cheques. Envelopes are also available there. If you would like a set of envelopes, please reach out to the donations administrator at email@example.com.
Pre-authorized Remittance Program (PAR) – an amount of your choosing is donated on a monthly basis through a program administered by the United Church of Canada. This means you don’t need to bring an offering and it helps with planning and predictability especially if you are away or unable to come in. Information about the PAR program and the PAR authorization form are posted at the bottom of the page.
By mail – make cheques payable to Westminster Presbyterian Church and mail to: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 290 Edgepark Boulevard N.W., Calgary, AB T3A 4H4. Please do not mail cash.
Giving on-line – send an e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are a new donor, please provide your address in the comments section to ensure that you will receive a tax receipt.
Canada Helps – donate electronically through Canada Helps on-line fundraising service using a credit card. Go to https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/westminster-presbyterian-church-in-calgary/ Our church receives the amount of your donation less the Canada Helps’ processing fee. Please note, tax receipts are issued by Canada Helps.
Income tax receipts issued by the church (all givings except those through Canada Helps) will be provided prior to the end of February of the next year.
