Join us as we continue the summer series Retold: Sunday School Stories You Haven't Heard in a While. On August 10, we consider the story of David and Goliath. And we all love an underdog story -- but what if Goliath is the one outmatched? In this familiar story, David may be young, small and overlooked, but his courage is rooted in something far greater than skill or strength. Long before this match, David learned trust and resilience in the quiet fields of shepherding -- where God had already been his protector and guide.
