In our moment of remembrance this Sunday we will honour lives lost to war and conflict, and pray for peace in every corner of the world. Even in the face of death, God is a God of the living. In our readings we hear Job clinging to hope when everything has fallen apart; and Jesus insists that life cannot be stamped out by death, and that God is a God of the living. As we remember the tragedies of the past and the struggles still unfolding, we turn toward the God who brings life out of ruin and hope out of despair.
We'd love it if you could stay after service for some conversation and refreshments.
